Supported banks

Built for the formats Indian accountants actually see.

Password-protected statements work too. More banks are added based on what people actually upload — we count every unsupported format so we build the next one for real demand, not guesses. Don't see your bank? Ask for it →

How it works

Folio 1 Upload your bank statement PDF — the one your net-banking downloads or your bank emails.
Folio 2 Every line is read and mapped to a Tally ledger — salaries, bank charges, UPI spends. Unmatched lines go to Suspense so nothing is invented.
Folio 3 Import the XML in Tally Prime: Gateway of Tally → Import → Vouchers. Payment and Receipt vouchers, already balanced.

Your client's data

Processed in memory. Never stored.

Statements are converted in memory and discarded the moment your download starts. No copies, no backups, no traces. Your account keeps a log of what you converted — date, file name, bank, line count — never the contents.

Questions

Importing bank statements into Tally

How do I import a bank statement PDF into Tally?

Upload the PDF on bank2tally and download the Tally XML file. In TallyPrime go to Gateway of Tally → Import → Vouchers, pick the XML file, and the Payment and Receipt vouchers are created automatically — already balanced against the right ledgers.

Can Tally read a bank statement PDF directly?

No — Tally can only import XML (or Excel via a separate process), not PDF. bank2tally does that PDF-to-XML conversion for you, so you never retype a bank statement by hand.

Which banks does bank2tally support?

HDFC Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India and Canara Bank today. We add more bank formats based on what people actually upload — every unsupported statement is logged so we build the next one for real demand.

Is my bank statement data stored?

No. Statements are converted in memory and discarded the moment your download starts — no copies, no backups.
