HDFC → Tally
Upload the PDF from HDFC Bank and get Tally-ready XML back — every line mapped to a ledger, as balanced Payment and Receipt vouchers you import straight into Tally Prime. No retyping, no templates to set up.
The HDFC format
HDFC Bank e-statements print these columns, dates in dd/mm/yy:
Date · Narration · Chq./Ref.No. · Value Dt · Withdrawal Amt. · Deposit Amt. · Closing Balance
HDFC statements often wrap a single transaction's narration across two or three lines — bank2tally stitches those back into one voucher narration.
How to convert
Works on text-based HDFC PDFs (the kind net banking downloads). Scanned or photographed statements aren't supported yet. Password-protected PDFs work — you set the password when you convert.
