Kotak → Tally
Upload the PDF from Kotak Mahindra Bank and get Tally-ready XML back — every line mapped to a ledger, as balanced Payment and Receipt vouchers you import straight into Tally Prime. No retyping, no templates to set up.
The Kotak format
Kotak Mahindra Bank e-statements print these columns, dates in dd-mm-yyyy:
Date · Narration/Description · Chq/Ref No · Withdrawal/Debit · Deposit/Credit · Balance
Kotak prints its statements with different column labels — some use Withdrawal/Deposit, others Debit/Credit. bank2tally reads both. A rare template it can't read is declined cleanly rather than converted wrongly, so your figures are never wrong.
How to convert
Works on text-based Kotak PDFs (the kind net banking downloads). Scanned or photographed statements aren't supported yet. Password-protected PDFs work — you set the password when you convert.
